[edit] Setting up Google Checkout for your store

Google checkout is a way that you can process credit card transactions for your online store. You can choose to enable your web store to communicate with Google checkout to process payments for your orders.

If you decide to use Google Checkout, please be aware that you will need to apply for an account just as you would any merchant account. Once approved you will have access to an online interface at Google, that will show you information about your transactions.

  • You must have a secure certificate to use Google Checkout.
  • You can choose to have Google checkout calculate tax for your orders. However, if you do this, you will need to update your shopping cart transactions with the correct tax. This is required since Google will be the source of record for this information.
