Setup USPS

  • Step 1: Register

You will need to set up a USPS web tools account. Note that this is NOT the same as the USPS click-n-ship account. Go here and fill out the registration form: http://www.uspswebtools.com/registration/


  • Step 2: Username, Password

You will receive an e-mail with your username, password and the test server name that ask you to test the pre-defined XML with the test server. At this point, you don't need to try to get the test server to work. Just reply to the e-mail you received and tell them that you would like to be moved to the live server that can be able to generate live shipping rate and shipping label.


  • Step 3: Live Server URL

You will receive another e-mail with the live server name, which usually will be similar as http://production.xxxxxx.com for the tracking and rate, and https://secure.xxxxxx.com for the label.
