Setup email account in outlook

[edit] Setting up a new Outlook email account

This tutorial will help you create an email account with Microsoft Outlook. These steps are also similar to other versions of Outlook.


1. Microsoft Outlook. From the menu bar, select Tools, then select E-mail Accounts.

2. New Email. Under E-mail, select Add a new e-mail account and click Next.

3. Server Type. On this page you will need to select POP3 - Connect to POP3 e-mail server to download your e-mail and click Next.

4. Internet E-mail Settings. Type in your User Information, create a password for your e-mail, and input the Server Information. See sample text below. Once you input your information, click More Settings.

5. More Settings. Click the Outgoing Server tab, then select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and leave the option below as Use same settings as my incoming mail server. Click OK. Next.

6. Congratulations! You've just created your new Microsoft Outlook e-mail. Click 'Finish'.
