Site Configurations

There are few configurations you need to go through to setup your online store that matches your business type. The changes you made on the divisions introduced below will affect how your online store functions.

We suggest you to spend a good amount of time to read and get familiar with the options under each division first then begin to do the configurations. Because it is very important for you to know and have clear picture how your own online store is supposed to function.

There is one thing we do not recommend you to do is to change the configurations too often after your online store is officially launched. Because the changes you made after that may confuse your existing/potential customers.


In order to configure you online store, you need to log in to the administration section on your online store. If you don't know how to, please check How to Access Admin .

[edit] Site Wide Settings

Required* in all 5 areas:

  • Main
    Choose your site type : Retail, Wholesale, Retail+Wholesale
    Modify site name, page title, description which will be used by the browser.
  • Shopping Cart & Checkout
    ** Online Merchant Processor
    This allows you to turn on an online merchant processor to help you to verify and accept the credit card information provided by your customers when they are placing new orders.
    When any online merchant processor is turned on,
    the Site Configurations#Merchant Setup is required (1).

    ** Shipping Method
    When choosing Online,Customized or Free Shipping as your online store's shipping method,
    the Site Configurations#Shipping Setup is required (2).

  • Email Account
    In order to send the emails to your customer properly, please provide correct mail server, email account information. After setting up Email Account, please verify the email text contents to see if you need to put more information in them Site Configurations#Modify Emails.
  • Search & Navigation
    This will affect how the products and categories to be displayed on your online store.
  • RMA (RMA may not be available depends on your application package)
    This allows you to turn on the online RMA service for your online store.

  • Credit Card Type
    Please verify the default credit card types that we provide for you for the checkout process. You may enable/disable them.
  • Order Status*: Please review the default status options that we provide for you. You can change the status to fit the business type of your online store.



[edit] Modify Emails

  • Modify Emails
    You can manage the email templates here and use them to manually send these emails to your customers.
  • Send Emails
    You can manually send email templates that you made to your customers here.
  • Auto-Response Emails
    You shall verify the content of auto-reponse emails and modify them as you need.



[edit] Merchant Setup

This setting is required (1) if you choose an online merchant processor for checkout process.

  • Merchant Processor
    Here you can turn on the online merchant processor and manage your paypal account information.

  • Online Merchant Configuration
    If you choose an online merchant processor, you are required to provide login and password information for accessing the processor.



[edit] Shipping Setup

This setting is required (2) if you choose Online,Customized or Free Shipping as your online store's shipping method. Here you can setup Online Shipper or Custom shipping methods to provide shipping options for your customers to choose when they place an order.

  • Shipping Settings
    This area has more instructions about how to setup shipping methods and also the Basic Shipping Setup.
  • Custom Shipping
    Please verify the default custom shipping methods we provide for you. You may modify them into the ones actually fit your needs.
  • Online Shipping + Online Shipper Accounts(real time)
    You shall provide Online Shipper Account information if you want to turn on the Online Shipping Methods Options for your customers to choose while they are placing new orders.
  • Warehouse Location *used by (real time) shipping rate & shipping labels
    You shall provide correct warehouse address, company / contact name and phone number for the carrier's online real-time server to calculate shipping rate and generate shipping lables.
  • Country Setup
    If you want to accept customers from other countries, you can include more countries into available country list.(used on international shipping)
